Jodie Foster will have to make space between her Oscars on the mantel for her latest award - an honorary doctorate in fine arts.

Yale President Richard Levin honored the actress Monday for breaking new ground for women in film through her choice of roles and her success as a director and producer."In your acting and directing, you reveal yourself as a deep moral intelligence, exploring the outer bounds of life, helping us to understand what we can and cannot tolerate," Levin said.

It was the second degree from Yale for Foster, 34, who graduated magna cum laude from the university in 1985 with a bachelor's degree in literature.
