Monte Carroll Golding passed through this life, May 24, 1997 in Granby, CO.
He was born August 21, 1945 in Cincinnati, OH, to Catherine Francis Lamb and George Elwin Golding. Monte grew up fishing, surfing, and participating in sports in Redondo Beach, CA. He served an LDS Mission to Argentina. Monte majored in accounting at BYU and later received his MBA Degree from Pepperdine University, Malibu, CA. He became a CPA a few years later. While at BYU he joined the ROTC and later became a Captain in the Army Reserves. Monte married Lynda Allen on July 9, 1971 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. After living in Wyoming, Georgia and 6 years in Downey, CA, they made their home in Springville in 1980. Monte was successful in establishing a family business of rental income property and sales of manufactured housing.Monte's greatest loves were his family, fishing, sports, and bowling.
He was preceded in passing by his mother. Monte is survived by his wife, Lynda and four sons: John (Michelle), of Kaysville; William, Daniel and Loren, all of Springville; a grandson, Sebron, of Kaysville; his father and stepmother, George and Jerry, of Spring City; a sister, Patricia (Dan) Knudsen, of Orem; six brothers: George Edward, of Provo; Loren Luis, of Orem; Joel Blake, of Provo; James Delos, of South Weber; Daniel O'Brian, of Littleton, CO; Kevin Fitzpatrick, of Springville. There are also numerous nieces and nephew, aunts and uncles and cousins, each he knew by name and loved.
Services will be held Saturday, May 31, 1997 at 11 a.m. in the Spring Creek South 1st Ward Chapel, 900 E 200 N, Springville. Friends may visit at the Wheeler Mortuary, 211 E 200 S, Springville, Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday one hour prior to the services at the church. Interment will be at the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
