Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Henry Victor Emil Lund, closed his eyes on May 31, 1997 at his home in Bountiful, Utah. He was enfolded by the love of all his family through the days before he slept.

He was born March 28, 1913 in Butte, Montana, the second son of Carl Emil Lund and Emma Ingeborg Pearsson. They were recent immigrants from Sweden. The family moved to the Bountiful area when he was but three. He was very proud of his Swedish blood and heritage and he spoke only Swedish during his early years. He married the sweetheart of his youth, Helen Mar Holbrook, on April 13, 1934. They were the founders and owners of Lund Floral and Gifts of Bountiful until their retirement at which time they gave the family business to their daughter and son-in-law. They gave to all those around them many happy memories.

Henry was one of the first members of the Bountiful Lions Club. He loved to go fishing, golfing and above all gardening. In his later years he took up wood carving and really enjoyed doing this. Henry and Helen enjoyed traveling together. He belonged to the frat house of Pi Kappa Alpha at Utah State University in Logan, Utah.

Henry was a lifelong member of the Zions Lutheran Church as were his parents before him.

He is preceded in death by his father, mother, brother, Roy; his sister, Lillian, and two sons, Larry and Stephen Lund.

Henry is survived by his sweetheart, Helen of Bountiful; four children, Mary Lou (Mick) Gray of bountiful; Kent (Rosie) Lund of Bountiful; Vic (Linda) Lund of Salt Lake City; and Bob (Laurie) Lund, Encino, CA; one sister, Helen Marie Clark of South Carolina; and two brothers-in-law, Max (Blanche) Holbrook of East Layton; and Jim (Carlene) Holbrook of Farmington; 19 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Henry said today just before he closed his eyes, "Well, I'm off to go fishing and then I think that I will catch a few holes on the green."

Henry, we will all miss you until we come and go fishing with you. Your loving family. Bye, DAD
