Tradition comes at a price. Healthy alternatives cost more.A half-dozen strawberries, a dollop of cream and a sprinkling of sugar costs $3.05, up eight cents from a year ago. The same number of berries with a slightly larger portion of yogurt is $4.70.
An informal survey of vendors on the grounds showed berries and cream had the early edge on its new rival.
