Two suspects were arrested Wednesday in the robbery of Park Pharmacy in Provo. The arrests followed the recovery of 5,600 pills Tuesday.
Capt. George Pierpont said one man was arrested Wednesday afternoon, and the second during the night. The recovered pills are only a small portion of the controlled substances removed from the Park Pharmacy on 1600 W. Center St. in Provo May 12.The robbers, who were armed, tied up the family operating the store with duct tape and then removed bottles of drugs, Pierpont said.
"We really don't have any idea how many drugs they took. They have either gone into their systems or have been sold," said Pierpont.
Several agencies helped to arrest the suspects including Provo, Spanish Fork, Lehi and Payson police departments and the Utah County Narcotics Enforcement Team.
An 18-year-old man and a 21-year-old man were booked into Utah County Jail.
