The crime film "Set It Off" set off an awards spree at the Acapulco Black Film Festival.

Queen Latifah won best actress for the film, while F. Gary Gray picked up the best director award. "Set It Off" also won the best soundtrack award. "Once Upon a Time When We Were Colored" won the best film award, while Ossie Davis was named best actor for his role in "Get On The Bus."Ten films directed, written or produced by blacks were nominated for the festival that closed Saturday in Acapulco.
