Born Jan. 31, 1929 in Salt Lake City, Utah to William Chapman Atkinson and Jeannette Park Atkinson. Married JoAnn Greaves, Aug. 16, 1958; later solemnized in the Manti Temple, Jan. 22, 1963. Worked 371/2 years for Safeway Stores, Inc.He is survived by his devoted wife; daughter and sons, Donna Redlin; Dave (Tawny); John; Mike; five grandchildren; one sister; five brothers. Preceded in death by parents; one sister; and son-in-law.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Thursday, July 3, 1997 at the Centennial Park Ward, 3372 So. Merry Ln. Friends may call Wednesday, 6-8 p.m. at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 So. and Thursday at the church one hour prior to service. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
