Rhea Beard Stacey, 86, died Sunday, June 29, 1997 in Heber City, Utah.

She was born April 25, 1911 to George Howard and Judith Anderson Beard. On September 3, 1929, she married William C. Stacey. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple Aug. 3, 1932. He died Jan. 2, 1963.Rhea was a member of the LDS church, Coalville 2nd Ward. She started as ward organist at age 10 and was organist for the Primary, Relief Society and MIA for 54 years. She also served as stake organist for 10 years. She also served as a counselor in the MIA.

She is survived by a daughter and two sons: Sandra S. (Sherald) Lewis, Auburn, Wyo; C. Howard (Neva) Stacey, Midvale; and Albert W. Stacey, Coalville; seven grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are a sister, Norma B. Thomas of Ogden; several nieces and nephews, and an aunt, Thelma Crandall of Coalville. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a brother and a sister.

Funeral services will be Thursday, July 3, 1997 at 1 p.m. at Walker Mortuary in Coalville. Friends may call at the mortuary Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Interment, Coalville Cemetery.
