As faculty and staff at Farmington Elementary, we wish to send a clear message to our patrons and school community. We are dismayed at comments being made about our principal, Karen Schleifer, in reference to the involuntary transfer of a fellow teacher, Mrs. Laura Daines. We are in total support of our principal.

Parents and community members have only been told one viewpoint and do not have the whole story. The school district and the principal have refrained from public comment because personnel issues are handled confidentially. We as professionals have also refrained from comment until now. In our opinion the transfer is needed and is in the best interest of our total school community. Our principal is one of the finest we have ever worked with. To characterize her otherwise is blatantly unfair and unprofessional.Janet Bown, Mike Brimhall,
