The first paperback edition of the English translation of Casanova's autobiography has been published in six volumes by Johns Hopkins University Press.

"History of My Life" tells the story of Giacomo Casanova, 18th-century Venetian and the son of actors. Although he was a soldier, spy, preacher, alchemist and violinist, Casanova is best remembered as a lover.Although parts of the text had been published previously, it first appeared in its entirety in 1960 in its original French. The English translation by Willard R. Trask was completed in 1971 and won a National Book Award.

Each volume has more than 300 pages and 16 illustrations. They are $15.95 each.
