Clarence Hirum Bagley, passed away July 14, 1997 in Salt Lake City, at Garden Terrace Alzheimer's Center.
He was born May 11, 1930 in Granger, Wyoming, and married Lucile Balls, June 24, 1955 in the Logan LDS Temple. He was preceded in death by his mother , father, and a granddaughter.He is survived by his wife, Lucile, Soda Springs, ID; stepmother, Harriet Bagley, of Miles City, MT; brother, Robert, of Yamhill, OR; children, Barbara Schuster, Layton, UT; Susan Fridley, Idaho Falls, ID; Richard, Buckeye, AZ; Tarryle, Kaysville, UT; Rachael Kippen, Springville, UT; David, Vancouver, Canada; Dan, Salt Lake City, UT; and 25 grandchildren.
He received his Ph.D in Educational Psychology and worked as a University Professor at Universities in Washington, New York and Arizona. He retired to his ranch near Soda Springs, ID. He loved Scouting and received the Silver Beaver Award. He also enjoyed gardening, backpacking, skiing, boating and all outdoor activities as well as the arts, classical music and reading. His children will remember many fun family trips and outings.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 19 at 2 p.m. at the Winder West Stake Center, 1250 East 4530 South, Salt Lake City.
