Eldon Alonzo Eliason, age 82, passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home July 16, 1997.

Born June 3, 1915 at Fillmore, Utah to Ephriam Jacob and Lois Hattie Robison Eliason. Married Harriet Hinckley March 11, 1946 in the Salt Lake Temple.Eastern States. He also served for many years on the stake high council and as a counselor in the Delta Stake Presidency. He graduated from the University of Utah School of Law in 1943 and developed a successful and rewarding law practice, never wanting to fully retire. He served 24 years as Millard County Attorney, benefiting the people of Central and Southern Utah, and was respected and loved because of the individual care and treatment he gave his clients, without concern over ability to pay. He was well-known and respected in every courtroom throughout the State.

Constantly involved in the community, he was a member of the Lions Club, Jay Cees, and was a founder of the annual "Days of the Old West Celebration" in Millard County.

He was a successful farmer and cattle rancher, and was rightfully proud of his farming operation. He also loved fishing and sporting activities. His pride and joy were his family.

Survived by his loving wife: Harriet, Delta; five children: Jean (John) Lyman, Los Alamos, New Mexico; Gayle (Steve) Reiber, Seattle, Washington; Elaine (Kirk) Englehardt, Provo; Gwen (Gary) Church, North Salt Lake; Lonnie (Karlene) Eliason, Sandy; son-in-law: Greg Dalley, Tallequah, Oklahoma; 14 Grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother: Lincoln Eliason, Deseret; sister: Genevive Larsen, Spanish Fork. Preceded in death by daughter: Karen Dalley; brothers: Max, Phil.

Funeral services will be held Saturday July 19, 1997 at 2 p.m. in the Delta Utah Stake Center, 50 N. Center St. Friends may call on Friday 7-8:30 p.m. at Nickle Mortuary, Delta, and Saturday at Church 1-1:45 p.m. Burial in Deseret Cemetery.
