In memory of our loving wife, mother and grandmother, June Tanner Norton, age 67, we respectfully express gratitude for her peaceful release from this mortal toil on July 23, 1997 at her home, surrounded by her family. June was born November 27, 1929 in Granger, Utah to Charles Frederick and Minerva Day Tanner. She married Donald J. Norton in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on March 12, 1952. June was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in the YWMIA, Primary and Relief Society. She devoted over 30 years of service to scouting. She also provided PTA Service, was a member of the Midvale Community Club, worked as a volunteer at Wheeler Historical Farm, served in many Girls 4H programs and was an avid collector and reader of books. Her family expresses gratitude and love for her ever enduring guidance and love.

Survivors: husband, Donald J Norton, Midvale; children, Larry, Launi, both Midvale; Andrew, Aaron, both Ft. Duschesne; Keith and Kori, West Valley; eight grandchildren; brothers, Stewart (Marie) Vernal; Grant (Dean), Kearns; Fred (Sherry), Sandy; sister, Connie Casper (Clifton), West Valley. Preceded in death by daughter-in-law, Idelia Norton; self appointed son, Martin Maymi; brother, Bill; sister, Janet Landers.Funeral services Saturday, July 26, 1997 at 11 a.m. in the Midvale Utah LDS Stake Center, 425 Jackson Street. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary 8090 So. State, Friday 6-8 p.m. and Saturday at the church one hour prior to services. Interment, Midvale City Cemetery. As an alternative to flowers, donations may be made to the Midvale Historical Society, 80 E. Center St., Midvale, Utah 84047.
