Keith Dale Kelley 73, died July 26, 1997 in Provo, UT of complications due to cancer.
Born October 18, 1923 in Holstein, Iowa to William Walter and Marie Reimers Kelley. He married Nancy Carol Joslin on July 11, 1952 in Duarte, CA. Marriage later solemnized in the Los Angeles LDS Temple. Dale was proud to have served in the U.S. Navy in World War II. He retired from Safeway Stores Inc. after many years of employment. He was a High Priest in the LDS Church and served in many callings. He will be remembered by many for his dedication and service in scouting for 42 continuous years. He was a recipient of the Silver Beaver award. He was an active member of the American Legion Post #84 in Santaquin, Utah.He is survived by his wife, Nancy Kelley of Santaquin; sons, Kenneth (Jan) Kelley, Santaquin; Wayne Kelley, Springville; Thomas (Kathy) Kelley, Santaquin; a daughter Tracy (Mark) Miller, Salt Lake City; nine grandchildren, three who are currently serving LDS missions in South America; a brother Dean (Doretta) Kelley, Tacoma, WA. Preceded in death by a son, Timothy Alan Kelley, and a brother, Warren Kelley.
Dale was loved and known by many as "Grandpa Kelley". He has influenced the lives of many through his sense of humor and example. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday July 30, 1997 at 1 p.m. in the Santaquin Stake Center, 90 South 200 East. Friends may call Holladay Hills Funeral Home, 66 South 300 East, Santaquin on Tuesday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and Wednesday at the Church from 11:45 to 12:45 p.m. Internment will be in the Santaquin City Cemetery with full military rites preformed by Post #84 Santaquin American Legion.
