The blustery storm that swept the Wasatch Front Tuesday claimed the life of a man camping in Hobble Creek Canyon.

Killed was:Anders Bjorn Stanleyson, 19, Provo.

A falling tree limb struck Stanleyson in the head and neck as he attempted to secure wind-blown tents at the Cherry Campground about 8 p.m. He died later at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center.

Stanleyson was on an outing with Wasatch House, a program of Wasatch Mental Health.

Utah County Sheriff's Sgt. Scott Carter said witnesses reported that wind started to blow away tents pitched under some large trees. Stanleyson and others attempted to tie down the tents when a large branch dislodged and fell on him.
