Roy Oliver Crum, 81, died August 14, 1997 in Sandy, Utah.

Born November 21, 1915 in Republic, Missouri, to Felix Edgar and Lona Mae Carroll Crum. Married Zola Johnson in Provo, Utah, August 13, 1939. He worked as a custodian, carpenter and miner, and was a president of United Mine Workers. He served as an Elders Quorum president and High Priest group leader in the LDS Church, and was an avid fisherman and green-thumb gardener.Survived by children, Madelyn (Lew) Rowe, Phoenix, AZ; Roland (Donna) Crum, Phoenix, AZ; Paula (Hank) Hensley, West Jordan; Dean (Rebecca) Crum, West Jordan; 18 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Carroll (Millard) Viles, Marionville, MO.

Funeral services Tuesday, August 19, 1997, at 12 noon in the Midvale Utah Stake Center, 425 Jackson St., Midvale. Friends may call Monday 6-8 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, and Tuesday 10:45-11:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.
