Remains of U.S. troops en route home North Korean soldiers carry one of four coffins containing remains believed to be those of U.S. soldiers killed in the 1950-1953 Korean War at the border village of Panmunjom Monday. The remains, including some identification that was exhumed with them, were then flown to the Central Identification Laboratory in Hawaii for forensic tests. They were the latest remains from North Korea since the United States received access to look for evidence of U.S. troops killed in the war. The return comes a day before North Korean negotiators are scheduled to sit down in New York with representatives of South Korea, China and the United States to begin talks on a permanent peace treaty.
