Using super hot, super fast, pressurized, magnetized, organic water, Venturi Technologies Inc. is set to revolutionize the cleaning industry, according to its management.

And Venturi is inviting investors to climb on for the ride as the Orem company, 1327 N. State Road, goes public. Some $6 million worth of shares are now being offered as bulletin board stock under the identification letters of VTIX. More will be released as demand grows.

"We're starting out as an infant stock offering but everyone has to start somewhere," said Joe Fox, director of investor relations at Venturi. "Right now the price is around $5 a share, but we expect it to be trading in about the $15-$20 range before long. For a reasonable investment, this is a good buy."

Fox believes Venturi has something unique to offer both customers in the cleaning world and those who've run small carpet-cleaning or housecleaning businesses.

"We are aggressively seeking the mom and pop `franchises' that can benefit from being linked to a successful organization. We're not here to replace them but to acquire them."

Fox said Gaylord Karren, chairman and CEO of Venturi, and John Hopkins, president, have identified and seized the opportunity to consolidate an industry they believe has been fractured and overlooked by the financial investment community.

Venturi can provide dynamic growth, vitality and a sound investment opportunity, said Fox.

Venturi Technologies is actually a combination company using technology known as the Venturi Lift vacuum system and conditioning water with pressure and heat that cleans without chemicals.

Carpets are only slightly dampened after treatment and because the water travels so fast, there is no shrinkage even after the water has been flash-heated to super temperatures. There's no chemical risk because no chemicals are used and therefore no allergy problems. The cleaning process is quick, efficient and extremely effective.

Brigham Young University researchers Craig Eatough and professor of chemical engineering Douglas Smoot are conducting research on the water's properties and on the unique design of Venturi's cleaning wand.

Eatough, research manager at BYU's combustion lab, said their task is to perform an analysis and determine the differences in water before Venturi's treatment and after. "We're also looking at the cleaning ability of the two different types of water," said Eatough.

In the meantime, fire-engine red trucks are being outfitted in the warehouse in Orem with state-of-the-art Venturi equipment and hoses and sent to job sites that can range from a single room in a home to an entire building, from a simple rug-cleaning to flood restoration and damage reclamation.

"We deliberately chose the fire-engine red color so people would think, `Help!' and call us," said Fox.

The Salt Lake/Utah County areas have two Venturi trucks operating. By the end of the year, Venturi expects to have a fleet of 40 on the road.

Eventually, they intend to offer nationwide service.
