Frances Evelyn Wightman Dopkus died September 10, 1997 in Sandy, Utah of natural causes.

Born on January 12, 1912 to Carlton Wightman and Lillian Lindsey in Oakley, Calif. She had a grand reunion with her husband and seven siblings and many loved ones when she left us.Survived by David and Colleen Dopkus of Salt Lake City; Jim and Barbara Dopkus of Springfield, Oregon; and Carol and Leon Collett of Sandy. Also survived by three sisters, nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and other family. She was especially close to her sister Bessie and her red headed granddaughter, Melodie Coffman.

The family wishes to thank all who cared for her, especially Sandy Regional Health Center, for years of T.L.C. Mom lived a simple, honest, kind life, always caring more for family and neighbors than for her own needs. She believed strongly in prayer. She was a happy spirit with a happy countenance, and had a positive attitude, and a great sense of humor up until the end.

In lieu of flowers, honor Frances's memory by doing as she did. Do good deeds, visit the sick and the elderly, show forth love to all, and enjoy some chocolate!
