Jose Lorenzo Herrera, beloved husband, brother, father, grandfather and friend, passed away peacefully at his daughters home on Sunday, September 14, 1997.
He was born on May 8, 1936, in Lumberton, New Mexico, to Jose Ignacio Herrera and Maria Conception Garcia Herrera. He was the forth oldest of seven children. He married Dora M. Padilla on December 9, 1966, in Salt Lake City, Utah. They have been married 31 years.Survived by his wife; sons, Ben Moya and Thomas L Herrera; daughters, Velma Rocha, Vivian Kay Mullican, Cindy Duran, and Priscilla C. Karren (Winston); four grandsons, nine granddaughters; brothers, Orlando Herrera and Eligo Herrera; sisters, Sylvia Painter, Madaldna Salyers and Dora Medina. Preceded in death by his parents and a brother Thomas Herrera.

Funeral Mass, 10 a.m., Wednesday, September 17, 1997, in the St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 1975 South 2300 East. Friends may call at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 Highland Drive, on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. with the Holy Rosary recited at 7 p.m. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
