An unarmed intercontinental ballistic missile was launched Wednesday, the Air Force said.

The Peacekeeper missile, carrying seven unarmed re-entry vehicles, was launched at 1:01 a.m. and traveled about 4,200 miles in about 30 minutes, officials said.It hit a target at the Kwajalein Missile Range in the western chain of the Marshall Islands.
