On what would have been a perfect day to fly, Airman Mark DiGaudio of Buffalo, N.Y., a member of the 305th Air Mobility Wing, leans out of a cockpit window and looks at the tail section of an Air Force C-141 Starlifter at McGuire Air Force Base in New Jersey. McGuire is observing mandatory stand-down from training missions to focus on recent aircraft accidents throughout the armed forces. The Air Force, still without an explanation for the spectacular crash of an F-117 stealth fighter, said Friday it will keep all such warplanes grounded until an answer is found. One of the high-tech planes broke apart and crashed during an air show Sept. 14.
