Maxine Leona Probst passed away on September 4, 1997, having given peace to and received comfort from each of her children.

Born April 17, 1924 in Bench Creek, Utah, Wasatch County to Abraham J. Crawford and Avery Duncan. Raised by her step-father J. Giles Carlile. Married Clarence C. Probst, (Klick) April 10, 1942. Lifes greatest lessons, those of service, caring, and selflessness were taught by her everyday example. Maxine loved her family, mountains, flowers, sunshine, new born lambs, blue sky and the Lord. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in various auxiliaries. She served as a temple worker in the Provo Temple.Survived by children: Pam and Alan Giles, Midway; James Probst, Fountain Green; Susan and Clark Graham, daughter-in-law and great friend Annette Probst, Heber City; Jerry Probst, Elko, Nevada; Nancy and David Raphael, Louisville, Colorado; 17 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers: Jolene DeJonghe, Littleton, Colorado; Eva Lou Stewart, Salt Lake City; Brent Carlile, Cedar City. Special Aunt, LaRue Blackley, Salt Lake City. Preceded in death by husband, mother, father, step-father, sister, Bonnie Morris, brother, Jack Carlile and granddaughter Chelsea Probst.

Funeral services will be Saturday, September 6, 1997 at 12 noon in the Midway 4th Ward. Friends may call at Olpin Mortuary, Heber City on Friday, September 5th from 6-8 p.m. and at the church Saturday one hour prior to services. Interment at Midway Cemetery.
