Dr. Wallace Evan Beck, age 65, our beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, died January 18, 1998 after a long battle with cancer.
He was born June 25, 1932 in Mt. Pleasant, Utah to Evan Auer Beck and Lura Morley. He graduated from North Sanpete High, excelling in all sports. Drafted in the Korean War, where he was a sgt. in the Army. Graduated from the University of Kansas City Dental School with honors. Practiced dentistry in Salt Lake City for 30 years. He married Verlene Hayward, Aug 25, 1955 in Salt Lake LDS Temple. He had a tremendous love for sports. Enjoyed golf, coaching, watching all sports, especially his children and grandchildren.He is survived by wife, Verlene; children, Wally Jr. and Torie Beck; Cinthie Corry; Todd Beck; Mike and Jennie Bearnson; Brad and Jessica Beck; Brian Beck; 12 grandchildren; Preceded in death by two sons, Michael and Shawn; brother, Robert and parents.
Funeral services Thursday, January 22, 1998 at 10 a.m. at the Bountiful 14 Ward Chapel, 1500 South 600 East. Interment, Mt. Pleasant Cemetery under the direction of Allen-Hall Mortuary.
