Bertha Minnie Vogel Durnell, age 89, passed away at the Crossland Care Center, in Sandy, Utah on Sunday, January 25, 1998.
She was born December 6, 1908 in Provo, Utah to Henry and Minnie Wunderlick Vogel. She married George Ray Durnell on December 26, 1933 in Provo, Utah. He preceded her in death on February 5, 1980.A life long resident of Provo, she received her education in Provo City Schools and graduated from Brigham Young University. She taught in the Provo City School District for 35 years. She was also an active member of the LDS Church.
She is survived by one brother, Arnold A. Vogel of Salt Lake City, Utah; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two daughters, one son, and three brothers.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 30, 1998 at 2 p.m., in the Berg Drawing Room Chapel, 185 East Center Street, Provo. Friends may call at the Berg Mortuary of Provo one hour prior to services on Friday. Interment, Provo City Cemetery.
