Clark Archibald Gardner, grand old fisherman, musician, salesman, and storyteller who enjoyed his family and numerous friends, died October 9, 1998 at the age of 90.
Son of Archibald Rawsel and Violet Ada Clark Gardner, he was born November 23, 1907, in Sandy, Utah. He attended USU and graduated with a BS Degree from the U of U. He played violin with the Utah Symphony and saxophone in marching bands and dance bands in the 20's and 30's. He completed a mission to Germany (1929-1932) and was active in the LDS Church. He and his sons were Eagle Scouts. He was blessed to be married to two wonderful women, Lois Fairbanks (who died in 1979) and Ann Eloise Dowding Webster.He is survived by his wife, Ann Eloise Webster Gardner; sons, Del F. (Ann Marie) Gardner, Clark F. (Noami) Gardner, John F. (Mary Lou) Gardner; daughters, Mary (James E.) Good, Joyce G. Rawson, Marla (James) Roberts; 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; sister, Frances (Arnold) Knapp.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 13, 1998 at 2 p.m. in the Goff Mortuary 8090 So. State. Friends may call Tuesday one hour prior to services. Interment: Salt Lake City Cemetery.
