An Ogden woman died Thursday afternoon at University Hospital from injuries suffered in a traffic accident last Saturday near Brigham City.
Linnea Thurber, 40, died at 2:35 p.m. in an intensive treatment unit where she was being treated for multiple trauma, mostly head injuries, a hospital spokeswoman said.The accident occurred about 7 p.m. Saturday on U.S. 89-91 when a trailer being pulled by a vehicle came loose. The trailer traveled across traffic lanes and struck Thurber's eastbound car.
Samuel Bryner, 15, Logan, a passenger in the Thurber car, was transported to Columbia Brigham City Community Hospital with cuts on his knee and head, according to the accident report. Thurber was flown to Salt Lake City.
The crash was investigated by Brigham City police. The hospital had no information earlier this week on the youth. Robert Zeller, 45, Logan, driver of the other vehicle, and Trevor Zeller, 19, a passenger, were not injured, according to the report.
