Herbert H. Longcrier, 79, died October 16, 1998.
He was born August 27, 1919, in Pryor, Oklahoma. He married Eva Jean Diviney November 22, 1953, in Carson City, Nevada. He served under General Patton in the US Army from 1942-1945 with an honorable discharge completing 31 years of government service in 1973.He is survived by his wife, Jean; children, Lois Dorrell, Mary Swenson, Trish Hart, Richard "Bud" Due, all of Magna, UT; Jim Longcrier, of Brewster, MA; and Jackie Draney, Boise, ID. He spent joyous hours with 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday October 20, 1998, at 10 a.m. at the Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 W. 4100 South. Friends may call Monday 6-8 p.m. at the Peel Funeral Home, 8525 W. 2700 South, Magna.
