Gladys Leah Eubanks, 85, died October 18, 1998 in Murray, Utah.
Mom was born in Springfield, Ohio on May 29, 1913 to John and Della Gram. She lived a selfless and caring life. She mothered and nurtured three sons, always emphasizing responsibility, accountability and kindness byboth word and deed.Mom cared for many as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the Clark County Tuberculosis Sanitarium and the Orient Hospital, both in Ohio, for over 20 years.
She was preceded in death by her sons Tommy and David and is survived by her son, Charles Richard (Dick) and his wife, Carol (Murray, Utah). She is survived by her six grandchildren: Leah Anderson (Salt Lake City), Richard Eubanks (St. Louis, Missouri), Tina Eubanks (Murray), Todd Eubanks (Salt Lake City), Brian Eubanks (LaCrosse, Wisconsin) and Kent Eubanks (Salt Lake City). She is also survived by her only great-grandson, Charles Patrick Anderson (Salt Lake City and daughter-in-law, wife of her late son David, Judy Eubanks (LaCrosse, Wisconsin).
Mom leaves behind her sister Betty Randall, Presque Isle, Michigan; beloved nieces Barbara Nitchman (Presque Isle) and Carole Grote (Columbus, Ohio) and nephew, John Randall (Orlando, Florida)
Our family expresses their gratitude and thanks to Dr. Kevin Stigee and his associates and to the many care givers at Murray Care Center for their care and comfort over the past five years.
In lieu of flowers it is suggested that contributions be made to the resident's fund at the Murray Care Center, 835 East Vine Street, Murray, Utah 84107
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Oct 21, 1998 at 2 p.m., Mountain View Memorial Estates, 3115 East 7800 South, Salt Lake City, where friends may call one hour prior to services.
