A Utah man driving his pickup truck the wrong way on I-80 collided with a semitrailer truck and was killed, the Nevada Highway Patrol said Friday.

Killed was:Jayson Hundley, 27, Bennion

He was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after the crash about 10:50 p.m. Thursday 27 miles west of Winnemucca.

Hundley was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes of the interstate.

David Agenbroad, 27, Melba, Idaho, was driving a semitrailer truck when he saw Hundley approaching on the wrong side of the interstate. He slowed to try to avoid a collision, but Hundley's pickup hit the truck and slammed into a guardrail.

Several other tractor trailers coming up on the crash sustained vehicle damage due to debris on the roadway, trooper Suzan Rivas said.

The accident remained under investigation.
