Washington quarterback Brock Huard injured his throwing shoulder near the end of the first half against Arizona on Saturday night.

Huard, a junior, badly bruised his left shoulder when he was knocked hard to the artificial turf by defensive tackle Daniel Greer on a passing play from the Arizona 15. He landed hard on his shoulder.The quarterback was replaced by Marques Tuiasosopo and was ruled out of further play in the Pac-10 game.

Huard, younger brother of the Miami Dolphins' Damon Huard, completed four of seven passes for 50 yards before he left the game.

Huard and the Huskies were coming off a 55-7 loss at Nebraska last week.

It was not immediately known how long Huard will be out. The Huskies will be at home against Utah State next Saturday.
