Dr. David William Feigal, 73, died October 31, 1998.

Born January 27, 1925 in Morton, Minnesota, to Dr. Marrion P. and Eloise R. Feigal and raised in Redwood Falls, Minnesota. Attended Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, and University of Minnesota Medical School graduating in 1947. Served in the U.S. Army in World War II and the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Practiced family medicine in Wayzata, Minnesota, for 24 years before moving to Salt Lake City in 1973. Chaired the newly established family medicine residency program at the University of Utah, School of Medicine before returning to private practice.A lover of the arts, he was an accomplished singer, landscape painter and photographer. Throughout his life music was his passion, particularly the symphony and opera.

Survived by his wife of three years, Naomi Keener; six children: Dr. David (Ellen) Feigal, No. Potomac, MD; Jill Feigal (Alan) Fuchs, Midway, UT; Heidi Feigal (William) Henry, Boulder, CO; John (Judy) Feigal, Houston, TX; Dr. Jennifer Feigal (Ward) Flad, Mill Valley, CA; Steven Feigal, Salt Lake City; three stepchildren: Timothy (Deborah) Buehner, Irvine, CA; Christine (Thomas) Nielson, Salt Lake City; Curtis (Dionne) Buehner, American Fork, UT; 16 grandchildren; and two sisters: Margaret Prosser, Excelsior, MN; Sally Severson, Phoenix, AZ. He will also be remembered by his former wife and friend, Eloise Feigal Bliss.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Utah Symphony, University of Utah School of Medicine or charity of choice.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, November 3, 1998, in the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 3401 South Highland Drive where family and friends may call on Monday evening from 6:30-8:30 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10:45-11:45 a.m. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
