Our beloved Bethany, age 16, was tragically taken from this earth on Nov. 7, 1998 in West Valley City in a thoughtless drive-by shooting.
Born December 21, 1981 in Salt Lake City, a daughter of Darrel LeRoy Hyde and Merlinda Bradshaw. Bethany was a junior at Granger High School who loved dance and gymnastics. She enjoyed music, the telephone, and spending time with her friends and family and was loved by all who knew her. Her caring and fun-loving personality will be missed.Survived by her mother, West Valley City; brother, Jason Clark and sister, Jamie Hyde, Bountiful; Megann and DesaRae Hyde, West Valley City; nephew, "little booger" Craig Hyde; and her best friends, Clayton Payne and Sommer Hambleton; stepbrothers, Justin (Heather and baby Alec) Knighton and Tony Knighton; stepfather, Ross B. Knighton, all of Bountiful. Preceded in death by her father, Darrel.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks to West Valley City Fire and Police Departments, Gold Cross and LDS Hospital for their loving and tender care.
Funeral services will be Thurs., 12 noon, at the Hillsdale Ward, 3175 South 3450 West. Friends may call Wed., 5-8 p.m., at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, and Thurs. at the church, one hour prior to services. Interment, Taylorsville Cemetery.
A donation may be made to a trust fund at any branch of Washington Mutual in Bethany's or her mother's name.
