Beloved husband, father and grandfather, Alma Arthur Richardson, age 76, passed away Tuesday, November 17, 1998 at Holladay Health Care Center.

Born January 20, 1922 in West Jordan, Utah the son of Arthur and Ellen Bateman Richardson. Married Marjorie Farrell on July 17, 1946 with the marriage solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on September 1, 1970. Alma graduated from Jordan High School in 1940 where he was Senior Class President. He attended George Washington University (living at the Phi Sigma Kappa Fraternity House) and USC before graduating from the University of Utah with a Bachelors degree in 1954. He also served in the Air Force division of the armed services. While living in Summit, New Jersey for 32 years he worked for the FBI and in security, with JC Penney corporate offices, New Jersey Bell and the Rockefeller family in NYC. He retired in 1986 to return to his home state of Utah. During those years he was a devoted husband, father and enjoyed woodworking, playing the trumpet, Indian art, horses, the outdoors and marksmanship. He was active in the LDS Church in different capacities, and was a High Priest. He was known for his fun loving, friendly disposition.Survived by his loving wife Marjorie, children, Nancy (Gale) Garrett of Burley, Idaho; Jan (Scott) Parker of Alpine, Utah; Carol (Stephen) Snyder of Alpine, Utah. 16 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held Friday Nov. 20th at the East Millcreek 9th Ward, 3750 South Hillside Lane (2600 East). Friends may call Thurs. from 7-8 p.m. at the Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary 4760 South State St. and Fri. at the church from 10:30-11:45 a.m. Interment West Jordan City Cemetery.
