Lisa Marie DeFranco Clyde, 39, of Orem, died November 23, 1998, at her home in Orem.
She was born January 16, 1959, in Syracuse, New York, to Amelio Prospero and Julia Marie DiMaggio DeFranco. She married Robert Allan Clyde, her high school sweetheart, on July 14, 1981, in the Washington D.C. Temple in Kensington, Maryland and was the proud mother of two daughters, Elizabeth Marie and Julie Anne Clyde.Lisa graduated from Burlington, Massachusetts High School and attended Brigham Young University. She worked for Xylogics and Electronic Products Group as a circuit technician. She volunteered at Provo High School from 1995 to 1996. She also volunteered at the Sharon Elementary School and was a Cub Scout leader. She loved singing, fishing, toll painting, cooking and was a fan of figure skating and basketball. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served as a Beehive Leader, Miamaid Leader in the Young Women Organization, a Primary teacher, a youth Sunday School teacher, and secretary in the Relief Society.
Lisa bravely battled breast cancer for eight years, maintaining her vivacious wit and zest for life. The family especially thanks Dr. Cordell Bott and his attentive staff as well as the 7th floor nurses and radiation department at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center for the loving care she received.
Donations may be made in her behalf to the American Cancer Society, specifying Breast Cancer Research.
She is survived by her husband, Robert of Orem; her two daughters. Also her mother, Julia; a sister, Andrea Pauline DeZorzi, Nashua, New Hampshire; two brothers, Vincent John DeFranco, Belmont, Massachusetts; Carl Joseph DeFranco, Waltham, Massachusetts; her father and mother-in-law, Allan R. and Janet Wright Clyde; grandmother, Palma Selvitella DiMaggio. She was preceded in death by her father and a brother-in-law, Daniel Harry Clyde.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 28, 1998, at 12 noon in the River Ridge First Ward Chapel, 1120 East 600 North, Orem, Utah. Friends may call on Friday evening at the Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 646 East 800 North, Orem, from 6-8 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. prior to service. Burial will be in the East Lawn Memorial Hills Cemetery in Provo.
