Willie Rhea NeSmith Jr., 64, of Kekaha, Kauai, Hawaii, passed away on November 21, 1998 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

He was born in Gainesville, Texas. Mr. NeSmith retired after 30 years with Allied Signal, where he was a supervisor working for the NASA Space Program at a tracking station in Hawaii. He resided on the island of Kauai, Hawaii, where he and his wife raised seven children until his transfer to Goldstone in Barstow, California. Following his retirement, he continued his education and received his teaching credential, and began a new career as an elementary and high school teacher. Mr. NeSmith was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Air Force in the early 1950's.Survivors include his wife, Odetta; mother, Georgia Bell NeSmith; aunts, Laura Ann NeSmith and Maymie Wycoff; sister, Jaunette Reaneo of Hawaii Kai, Hawaii; children, John, Kevin, Rhealene, David, Dawnyl, Richard and James;

13 grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday, November, 29, 1998, 2 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State, Murray. Additional services and burial will be in Kauai, Hawaii.
