Our loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, Woodrow "Woody" Gilbert Kay, age 84, passed away November 7, 1998 of natural causes.
Born July 9, 1914 in Salt Lake City to Gilbert and Sylvia Kay. Married LaPreal Henson on March 21, 1941 in Farmington, Utah and were life-long companions for 57 years. He served in the U.S. Army where he received the Bronze Star. He worked for 50 years for Quality Press and was a member of the LDS church and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.He is survived by wife, LaPreal; son, Larry; daughters, Shannon Gray (Nick), Barbara Holbrook (Greg), Lynda Hardy (Richard), Sherlene Katsanevas (Andy); brothers and sisters, Lamar Kay (Louise) of Oregon, Reva Maser (Sandy), Jackie Perschon (Pete) of Murray, Vera Cross of SLC, Grace Barkdall (Joe) of Meadow, Norma Haupt (Pete) of Fresno, CA; 11 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by sister, Luella Bradshaw and brother, Raymond Kay.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, November 10, 1998, 1 p.m., Lehi City Cemetery, 1100 No. 400 East. Friends may call Tuesday 11 a.m. - 12 noon at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State St., Murray.
