Janice Marker, age 56, passed away November 29, 1998 in Salt Lake City.
Born August 3, 1942 in Salt Lake City to Donald V. and Dorothea Goodrich Marker. She was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She cherished her nieces and nephews. She attended cosmetology school in California and nursing school in Utah. She was a nurse at Primary Childrens, LDS Hospital and the University of Utah Medical Center. Her greatest joy was caring for the newborns and young children. She enjoyed shopping, crafts, sewing, and holidays especially Christmas Eve. She also loved to travel with her TOPS club. As a member of the LDS church she served as a Primary teacher and also spent many hours doing temple work. Her mother lovingly cared for her in the last few years of her life. She was a shining example of enduring to the end.She is survived by her mother; sisters, Sandra (Kendall) Brigman, Sherrie (Lynn) Casto, brother, Michael (Sue) and nine nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her father.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday December 3, 1998 in the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 3401 South Highland Drive where friends may call on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. and on Thursday from 12:45-1:45 p.m. prior to services. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
