RICHFIELD, UTAH--Our wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, Charles Woodrow "Woody" Ogden, age 81, of Richfield, passed away peacefully, with his family at his side, on December 8, 1998, after suffering a stroke.

He was born July 22, 1917 in Richfield, Utah, a son of Charles Lorenzo and Dora Ann Coons Ogden. He was sixth in a family of nine children. He married Thelma Washburn, June 28, 1939 in the Manti L.D.S. Temple. She passed away May 5, 1986. He married Wanda Florence Julander Huntsman, February 18, 1989. Woody attended Snow College. He lived his entire life in Richfield, where he and his three brothers owned and operated Ideal Dairy, for many years. He was active in the L.D.S. Church and various service organizations. At the time of his death, he was involved with the Richfield Lion's Club and the Senior Citizen's Center. Woody loved riding his motorcycle, riding his horse with the Redview Riders, collecting glasses and newspapers for the Lion's Club, and working with the Senior Citizens. He loved people and touched the lives of many. He will be greatly missed.He is survived by his wife, Florence, of Richfield; five daughters: Pamiela Day of Orem; Susie Squire of Layton; Rosalie Kreider of Stevens, PA; Pat Bowers of Pocatello, ID; Gwen Rasmussen of Highland; one son: Robert Woodrow "Bob" Odgen of Richfield; Florence's children: Bonnie Cox, James Huntsman and David Huntsman, all of Richfield; Penny Knight of Chehalis, Wa; 46 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; three sisters and two brothers: Shirley Nielson of Springville; Grand Ogden, Helen Evans, DoraDean Hendrickson and Homer Ogden, all of Richfield, and many countless friends. He was preceded in death by a his parents, his first wife and three brothers: Reed Ogden, Lavar Ogden and Garth Ogden.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, December 12, 1998 at 12 noon in the Richfield 3rd L.D.S. Ward Chapel, located at 985 South 400 West in Richfield. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Richfield, Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and at the ward chapel, Saturday from 10 to 11:30 a.m. prior to the services. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the local food banks or your favorite charity.
