Oley Lloyd Coley, 80, returned to his Father in Heaven on December 15, 1998.

Born February 11, 1918 in Richmond, Utah to Herbert and Martha Christiansen Coley. Married Verda Anderson, November 23, 1938 in the Logan Temple in Logan, Utah. He moved to Salt Lake City in 1940. He worked on the Union Pacific Railroad for over 36 years. He served in the army in World War II. He was active in the Boy Scouts of America, and was a District Commissioner for many years receiving the Silver Beaver in 1977. He and his wife served in Lake Havasu in the San Diego, California Mission. He was a Salt Lake Temple worker, stake employment specialist, ward Yound Men's president, teacher in the Sunday School and High Priest quorum. He loved children and animals and was a cherished husband and dad. His greatest achievement is his complete and total love for his family.He will be missed by Verda, his bride of 60 years; his children, Alice (Mrs. Frank W.) Miller, Brooklyn, New York; Betty (Mrs. Mervyn) Thatcher, Salt Lake City; Gay (Mrs. Gerald R.) Green, Fairport, New York; Lloyd Dean (Nancy) Coley and Nina (Mrs. Michael) Byles of Salt Lake City; brothers, Roland, Mesa, Arizona; Arthur, Ogden, Utah; and Golden, Hyrum, Utah. Very special to him are his 15 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He rejoins Lillian, Edna, Carrie and Hannah, his sisters, and Wilford and Ivan, his brothers.

Viewing will be Thursday, December 17, at 6-8 p.m. at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center Street, Logan, Utah. He can be seen one hour prior to the Funeral which will be Friday, December 18, at 11 a.m. in the Willow Valley 1st Ward, 600 North 125 West, Logan, Utah. Interment will be at Sunset Gardens, Sandy, Utah.
