Forrest Dell Wilcox, 68, died Monday, December 21, 1998 at his home in Provo.
He was born on May 28, 1930 in Victorville, California, the son of Theron (Jack) and Beatrice Gregerson Wilcox. He married Patricia Ann King and they were later divorced. He married Karen Lynn Anderson on November 19, 1976 in Spanish Fork, Utah.He was a horse jockey from 1945 until 1966. He was a member of the Jockey's guild. He enjoyed bowling, dancing, sunning at California beaches. He had a good sense of humor and made friends easily. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was an Elder. He participated in the church special interest group and single dances.
Survivors include his wife, Karen; two sons and two daughters: Kathryn Ann Stoops, of Ogden; Donald Dell Wilcox, of Salt Lake; Deborah Carol (Richard) Mattinson, of Spanish Fork; Robert Karl (Elaine) Wilcox, of St. Jo, Missouri; 10 grandchildren; 4 (3/4) great grandchildren; two sisters: Dian (Jack) Little, Anacortes, Washington; and Coleen (Verl) Thompson, of Spanish Fork. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, a brother and two half brothers.
Memorial services will be Wednesday, December 23, 1998 at 9:30 a.m.at the Canyon Ridge Ward Chapel, 1750 East 750 South, Spanish Fork. Graveside services will be at 12 noon in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery. Friends may call at the Walker Mortuary, 187 South Main, Spanish Fork from 11 a.m. until 11:45 a.m.
In lieu of flowers donations will be accepted to help pay for the funeral service.
