LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Irene Hervey, a dimpled leading lady who appeared in dozens of 1930s and '40s films, died Sunday of heart failure. She was 89.

Miss Hervey played Jimmy Stewart's love interest in the 1939 Western "Destry Rides Again." Her final film was Clint Eastwood's directing debut, "Play Misty for Me" (1971). Other film credits include "The Count of Monte Cristo," "A Cry in the Night" and "Cactus Flower."She also appeared on several television shows, including "Charlie's Angels," "Perry Mason" and "My Three Sons."
