Solomone was called back home to our Father in Heaven Friday, February 13, 1998 in West Valley City, Utah.

He was born September 23, 1952 in Pea, Tonga Island to Mele Sifa and Isileli Latu. He married Sela Maliana Lino February 26, 1977 in Tonga. They are blessed with nine beautiful children, Havea (20), Sione (18), Vaka (17), Koleta (13), Isileli (10), Kalolaine (9) Ana (7) Solomone Jr. (3) and baby Cecilia (4 mo.). Solomone and Malia were sealed together with their children for time and all eternity in the LDS Jordan Temple on February 5, 1990 in West Jordan, Utah. Mone loved to work especially with his sons, they would work as a family building homes. A family man and a very loving husband and father. A great provider for his family and friends and as a carpenter and builder he donated his time and talent in helping others build their homes. Mone served his fellowmen and had great faith in the gospel of Jesus Christ. He served in the Jordan Temple, and as a ward missionary. He was committed to his calling in the church. He will be loved and missed by all who knew him. A true Child of God.Survived by wife; and nine children, all of West Valley City, Utah; brothers, Siaosi Latu, Tonga Island; Siosifa Latu, New Zealand; Fotu'aika Latu, Australia; Fua'hau Latu, Minn.; sister, Taufa Nau, Kearns, Utah. He was preceded in death by his sister, Seini Tulua; and his brother, Havea Latu in Tonga Island.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 21, 1998 at 11 a.m., Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 So. Redwood Road, where a viewing will be held Friday, February 20, 7-10 p.m. Family and friends may contact Leni 599-0737 for funeral information.
