Don Mills, the last surviving member of the original Mills Brothers, accepted the accolades Tuesday night when the sweet-singing ensemble was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences.

The ceremonies, at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, were in conjunction with Grammy Awards week.Mills, 82, continues to perform with his son John H. Mills II as John and Donald Mills of the Mills Brothers. Others honored this year include Bo Diddley, Paul Robeson and Roy Orbison.
