Rollan Arasmus Masterson, age 94, passed away March 13, 1998 in Provo, Utah.

He was born September 17, 1903 in Marion County, Missouri to Arasmus Foster Masterson and Orpha Etta Crouch Masterson. There were six sons and four daughters, Fallie, Lillian, Julian (Jack), Caroline, Rollan (called Boots), Kittie, Murray, Charles, Leroy, Gilbert, and Doris. He left there at age 17 and worked at a car factory and other jobs before being trained as a chef. He moved to Oregon and worked on the Dietary Staff at the Maltanoma County hospital before going to Los Angeles, California and became partners with Fred Whimple in a restaurant.Following the advice of his brother, Jack, he moved to Kanab, Utah where he met Mabel Cram, and was married July 2, 1930. In 1951, they were sealed in the St. George LDS Temple. She passed away June 22, 1983.

They were the parents of nine children, Charles Foster of Orem, Utah; Rollan Phil, Lindon, Utah; Wayne Cram, deceased; Royce Arasmus, Spanish Fork, Utah; Roma Janssen, Orem, Utah; Fred T., Texas; Pamela Ruth Hubbard, Lake Shore, Utah; Stephan Cram, Birdseye, Utah; Mary Etta Andreasen, Springville, Utah. He has 44 grandchildren and 64 great-grandchildren.

All those who knew him felt of his friendship, love, and concern and he had a strong testimony of our Savior. He was always the missionary, wanting to share his testimony with everyone.

He is survived by brothers, Murray, Kanab, Utah; Charles, American Fork, Utah; Leroy, Michigan. He is preceded in death by his wife, a son, and a grandson.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 17, 1998 at 11 a.m. in the Sharon 1st Ward Chapel, 641 South 400 East in Orem. A viewing will be held Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary, 495 South State St., Orem, friends may also call Tuesday 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the ward chapel. Interment will be in the American Fork City Cemetery.
