Friday, March 6, 1998, Frank Armstrong, beloved father and grandfather, passed on peacefully at LDS Hospital of causes incident to age.

Born August 7, 1900 in Salt Lake City, Utah, a son of the late William F. Armstrong and Edith Moyle Armstrong. Married Afton Carpenter February 21, 1930 in "Wee Kirk of the Heather" in California, and later solemnized in the LDS Temple. He graduated from East High School, followed by the University of Utah, where he was a member of several fraternities including Sigma Chi. He then attended George Washington Law School. He practiced law in the Salt Lake area for 60 years. He was a member of Armstrong, Rawlings and West. He served a LDS Mission in London from 1921-1923. He later served as bishop for the Cottonwood Ward. His warmth, kindness, generosity, and humor will be missed dearly by his Cottonwood neighbors, his card playing pals at the Alta Club, his family and friends, and all those fortunate enough to have known him.He is survived by his brother, Dr. William F. Armstrong; daughter, Eve Armstrong; grandsons, Frank Armstrong, Rob Armstrong McGowan; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 9, 1998, at 1 pm, at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, where family and friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment Salt Lake City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to preferred charities in the name of Frank Armstrong.
