Manford Frank Helm, age 65, died Monday, April 13, 1998 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Born October 31, 1932 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Eula Dee Helm and Ralph Emmet Helm. He married Sandra Berlin September 30, 1960.He is survived by his wife, Sandra; his mother, Eula Dee Helm; his daughter, Leslie Ann Helm Stone; his son, Robert Frank Helm; his son, Mark Alan Helm, Esq.; his son-in-law, Harry A. Stone, Jr. (Hal); his grandson, Harry A. Stone III; his sister, Lucille Strecker, Seattle, Washington; his brother, David C. Helm, Salt Lake City; his sister, Judy Wright, Missoula, Montana.
He served in the Air Force from 1950-1954. He attended college at both Ricks College and Idaho State College.
He was a retired president and owner of Helm & Sons, Inc., a progressive underground utility contracting firm. He was a regional vice-president of National Utility Contractors Association. He was the former head of the Trenchless Technology Committee of NUCA. He was a 21 year Master Mason.
He loved his family, his horses, his work and his farms in Midvale and in Malad, Idaho.
He was our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend and we will miss him.
A memorial service will be Friday, April 17, at 3 p.m. at Evans & Early Mortuary, 574 E. 100 South. Friends may call on the family from 1-3 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Frank M. Helm Scholarship at Westminster College, 1840 So. 1300 East, SLC, UT 84105
