Virginia Hodges Price died at home April 16, 1998 in the care of her three children, Peggy, Sue and Steve.

She was preceded in death last November by her husband of 59 years, George E. Price. Virginia was born June 9, 1916 in Salt Lake City, the daughter of Albert George Hodges and Elizabeth Edwards Hodges. She has a sister, Ramona Hodges Ward, who lives in Boise, Idaho.Virginia graduated from Salt Lake High School (later West High) in 1933 and attended the University of Utah, graduating in 1938 with a BS Degree in Home Economics. Her life was focused on her family and her home. She dearly loved her grandchildren. She loved to spend time in Cascade, Idaho at the family cabin where the peaceful woods and family gatherings rejuvenated her spirit.

Virginia had many talents and skills which she applied to making her home and yard a beautiful place to be. She was an expert gardener, terrific cook, furniture refinisher, ceramic hobbyist, and a skilled seamstress. She was not afraid to try her hand at anything.

Virginia had a close circle of friends who shared her interests and played bridge together regularly for many years.

Virginia is survived by her three children, six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one "on-the-way".

Graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, 1998 in the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park (Vista Section). Friends may call at the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive on Saturday from 1:45-2:45 p.m. prior to graveside service.
