Five north Davis County cities are looking into the feasibility of combining their resources for a possible multicity recreation center.

This recreational complex would have a shared used among the residents of Clearfield, West Point, Sunset, Syracuse and Clinton. Combined, the cities have about 48,000 residents, with almost half of the total coming from Clearfield.A committee, with several representatives from each city, is currently being organized to study the potential project. Paul Wayne, a member of Clearfield's recreation board, is spearheading the effort.

The organization is in the very preliminary stages, with no answers yet as to where a center would be located and what it would contain.
