Second District Judge Michael Glasmann has set the trial of 22-year-old Alfredo Arias Gomez to begin Oct. 19.

Gomez allegedly shot and killed Wayne Hillaker, 19, after an argument over a television, which Gomez was believed to have taken as a "tax" on a drug debt.

A medical examiner testified last Friday during Gomez's arraignment that Gomez fired five shots at Hillaker after the two stopped their cars along the side of the road. One bullet lodged in Hillaker's brain. He died later that night at a local hospital.
